Accreditation, Approvals, and Authorizations

Rosemead College of English (RCE) is located in sunny Southern California. It was established in 1992 and has two campuses, one in Rosemead and one in Torrance. Both campuses have been approved by the INS to issue the SEVIS I-20 form to foreign students who intend to apply for student visa (F-1).

Accreditation is a process by which a facility's services and operations are examined by a third-party accrediting agency to determine if applicable standards are met. Should the facility meet the accrediting agency's standards, the facility receives accredited status from the accrediting agency. The goal of accreditation is to ensure that education provided by institutions of higher education meets acceptable levels of quality.

Why are we more reliable?

If you are planning to study in the U.S., it is important to know if the school in which you plan to enroll is accredited. RCE is officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education through ACCET. Accreditation helps to ensure that the school is of high quality and that you will receive the programs and services that the school describes in its promotional materials.

Through the public recognition that accreditation provides, students, sponsors, employers, and others can identify schools that meet the standards for educational quality. RCE is registered and approved as an official ETS TOEFL iBT and TOEIC Test Center. Employers often want to know that an employee graduated from an accredited school. Accreditation is also important in the transfer of credit from one school to another, and it can be a means for access to federal education funding. In addition, accreditation is a means for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to certify schools that are eligible to issue the necessary documents for international students to enter the country on a student visa.
