TOEFL iBT Test Preparation Program What is TOEFL iBT?
TOEFL iBT Test is the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language. The test has four sections covering the language skills of reading, listening, speaking, and writing. It is approximately 4 hours long, with an obligatory 10-minute break after the Listening section.
Features of the new TOEFL Internet-based Test:
- Note taking is allowed throughout the test.
- Speaking skills are evaluated. The Speaking section includes independent and integrated tasks.
- Some questions involve integrated skills, such as reading-listening-speaking.
- Knowledge of grammar is not tested separately but is tested indirectly in all sections of the test.
- There is no longer a Structure section.
- Lectures and conversations in the Listening section are longer.
- The speech in the listening material sounds more natural. Also, there are new questions that measure understanding of a speaker's attitude, degree of certainty, and purpose.
- The Reading section has new questions that ask test takers to categorize information and fill in a chart or complete a summary.
- The Writing section requires typing. There is an integrated task and an independent task.

Scoring On The TOEFL iBT Test - The TOEFL score report will show:
- separate score of 0 to 30 for each of the four language skills
- total test score of 0 to 120
- TOEFL CBT (computer based) score comparison
