Teaching Philosophy

"Every teacher wishes to have the opportunity to work with students who show an eagerness and enthusiasm for learning. Occasionally, we get our wish. Having taught the English language to native and non-native speakers alike, I find my students here, at RCE, to possess exceptional excitement and motivation to learn in my TOEFL iBT preparation courses. Whether it be the reading, listening, speaking, or writing portions of the courses, the students continue to surprise me with their insights and abilities. You might notice that I very much enjoy my work at RCE. My university education was many years ago in English and American literature, and I've been involved in several professions in my working life from photographer to marketing director to the director of a construction firm; although, teaching has always been something to which I've returned and teaching TOEFL iBT preparation to enthusiastic students is a great pleasure."
